Child Physical Abuse and Neglect
Provision of training on child physical abuse and neglect is one of CCFMTC's statutory
directives, and this training was provided from 1996 to 2010. Due to state budget cuts,
current funding limits us to sexual assault and child sexual abuse forensic medical
training.
There is an excellent annual conference sponsored by the Chadwick Center, Rady
Children's Hospital in San Diego every January that provides up-to-date workshops,
seminars and trainers.
Vision
Our vision is to provide training on child physical abuse and neglect when funding
becomes available. Our purpose is to increase access to training and qualified medical
personnel and increase their knowledge, skills and abilities in this important subject area.
